Creative Scotland and Young Scot have launched a new fund to support young people, aged 15-22, in activities which allow them to flourish within the creative industries.

The Creative Enterprise Fund can offer awards of up to £200 for individuals or £750 for groups of two or more young people, where one of a pair or two thirds of any larger group are aged between 15-22.

want to get your band off the ground or make a career out of your filmmaking interest?
The Creative Enterprise Fund can support a variety of enterprising ventures within the creative industries.
What does the fund support?
The Creative Enterprise Fund aims to support young people to progress into, and flourish within, the creative industries. It aims to encourage enterprising and innovative ideas and assist young people to become creative leaders.
The fund is unable to award funding for holiday schools/courses or provide support for travel and living expenses.
The fund is unable to support projects or activities that have already started. Therefore we strongly advise that you submit an application at least ten weeks before the project/activity start date.

Who can apply?
The fund is open to young people living in Scotland aged 15-22. Applications from professional creative organisations cannot be accepted.

How to apply?
Applications should be submitted using the Creative Enterprise Fund application form, either online or by hand. A link to the PDF form can be found on the right hand side of this page and click here for the online form. Please do add in any other supporting documents; including photo's, links to YouTube videos etc. The more creative the better.

Applicants are required to provide details of a referee as part of their application. The referee should be someone independent who knows you/your group, including your experience and skills, and would be able to comment on your application if contacted by Young Scot.

Deadlines?
The Creative Enterprise Fund Grants Committee meets every two months, the next deadline for applications is Monday 22nd July 2013.
Applicants should expect to hear if they have been successful in the week beginning 5th August 2013.
