If you are a young Scottish student studying full-time in the UK you should apply to the Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS) for support with your living costs and fees. In order to be eligible to apply for funding you must meet a certain residential criteria.

What financial support can I get?

The financial support that you will get will depend on a number of different factors including:

• What course you are studying
• Where you want to study
• Whether you are studying full time, part time, or distance learning
• Whether you have undertaken any other courses or qualifications of a similar standard already
• Your personal income
• Your family circumstances
• How old you are

Financial support is generally income-assessed (how much you or your family earn). There is different support depending on the kind of course that you do.
