There are colleges and learning centres across Scotland, although there are more learning options in larger cities, you can still find learning centres in rural areas. Another option is to learn by distance learning or online, many colleges offer this.
Unlike university applications you need to apply to the college you want to go to directly, and the earlier the better. Phone up the college and ask for a prospectus and try and get to an open day or evening so you can find out more about what the college is like.
After you apply for a place on a course you may be invited to attend an interview, this tends to be with tutors from your course and as well is a chance for them to see if you are suitable, it is also a chance to see whether you would like the course and tutors and ask lots of questions. Don't be afraid to ask!
