Modern Apprenticeship opportunities

The Modern Apprenticeship training scheme encourages individuals to train while in work and get a recognised qualification.

From 2010, MA programmes will offer:

• Modern Apprenticeship 4 years work with training to achieve SVQ Level 3
• Modern Apprenticeship 2 years work with training to achieve SVQ Level 2
• Skillseeker funding for 2 years work with training to achieve SVQ Level 2

The name "Skillseeker" is being replaced by "Modern Apprentice" so that all individuals on government funded training programmes will be on the same scheme.

Business Administration Level 2 SVQ's can sometimes be achieved within one academic year - from September to July - depending on the individual and the workplace. It is therefore also an option for a gap year.
