The Scottish Government’s Junior Climate Challenge Fund (JCCF) is all about giving young people the support they need to take action on climate change.
If you are 18 or under and have an idea for how you can take action to help reduce your community’s carbon footprint, then the JCCF can help by offering you funds, plus the support of a development officer.
Everyone has a carbon footprint. Its size depends on many things including the way you live, what you eat, the kind of house you live in, and how you travel. We all can reduce our carbon footprint and live in a more sustainable way.
So your project might focus on energy efficiency, local food, recycling, transport or something else entirely! The important thing is that the project is led by young people and aims to achieve a measureable and lasting reduction in carbon footprint in the area where you live.
