The Whichbook website lists over 20 million different possiblities and will match your individual likes and dislikes to find your perfect read.
For book reviews and teen hit lists take a look at the Scottish Book Trust website. Don't forget to check out the Young Scot e-zine as well for the latest book reviews written by young people.
Libraries have recently published novels, new issues of magazines, CDs, DVDs, recipe books, books in languages other than English and lots more! Your local library will also have details of any visiting authors and any other literary events that they have set up. They may even run a Book Group that you could get involved in.
If you prefer to ponder on a poem, Scottish Poetry also have a huge collection of books to borrow as well as loads of useful information on their website. Go to their reading room for some classic selection of poetry book, podcasts and reviews.

Comhairle nan Leabhraichean (Gaelic Books Council), is an organisation set up to promote Gaelic books. The Council provides publication grants for publishers to issue new books and commission grants for authors to write them. Contact them to find out info and recommendations about books in Gaelic.
