Trained, friendly Quitline counsellors offer confidential help and advice about every stage of quitting. Whether you are just thinking about stopping, have quit for just a short time, or are an ex-smoker trying to stay stopped, then the counsellors can help. The number is 0800 00 22 00 9am til 8pm Monday to Friday and 10am til 6pm at the weekend.
The Can Stop Smoking website from NHS Health Scotland, featuring hints, tips and support on giving up. There are resources like cost calculators and quitting calendars. They also offer a live chat service every evening between 9am to 9pm. It's a confidential service.

The Quit Because website has lots of useful (and gory) information about smoking, including the facts and myths about smoking.
W-WEST (Why Waste Everything Smoking Tobacco?) is a group of young people with the aim of giving other young people the information they need to make choices about smoking.
They can also give you help and advice about giving up smoking.
